HAKKO 599B-02 DRY TIP CLEANER.

With Lead Free Soldering and the higher temperatures used it is important to note that
using a conventional sponge that is very wet can drastically shorten the life of Tips and Nozzles.
A dripping or soaked sponge will cause hairline fractures of the plating on the Tips and Nozzles.
These hairline fractures cannot be seen with the naked eye, but, will cause corrosion
and premature failure of the Tips and Nozzles causing higher usage and cost.
A damp only sponge will not cause this to happen.

The Dry Tip Cleaner uses no water therefore it will not reduce tip temperature. This prevents
any cracking of the plating and prolongs the life of the tip and also prevents solder splash.
